At a glance
A neighbourhood that trades noise for sea light.
Wedged between the frenzy of Dadar and the glitter of Worli, Prabhadevi keeps its own counsel. Gokhale Road and Cadell Road run quiet under old gulmohars; the Siddhivinayak crowds keep to the east. To the west, the Arabian Sea and the Bandra–Worli Sea Link open up — which is why the plots here, scarce and mostly redeveloped into slender towers, command some of central Mumbai's steepest carpet rates.
It is a resident's neighbourhood more than a scene: Marathi old money, industrialists, and a newer set drawn by the sea views and the ten-minute reach of Lower Parel's offices. You buy here for the light, the address and the quiet — not the nightlife.
